[The directions are simple enough. A circle around the right eye, a circle around the heart, and a slash over the left kidney. He knows where the kidney is, right?]
[ okay, the eye and heart should be easy enough. he goes ahead and circles those as gently as he can, without pressing down too hard on theo's skin. however, that last one is, uh... ]

[ since theo's eyes are closed, he can see naegi's marker hovering over a spot somewhat... in the area... of the kidney?? he honestly has no idea. he never took an anatomy class before ]
[Cracking an eye open, briefly. It probably looks somewhat comical what with the marker.]

[Finally, acting in a hospital drama has bequeathed him useful knowledge. He traces a circle around the kidney with a finger before shutting his eye again.]
[ thank god that at least theo knows or else naegi would have circled some random spot instead. now with theo's help, naegi circles the last part and he pulls back, putting the cap back on the marker. ]
[ naegi looks at the direction of the new light and he immediately feels a chill run down his spine. he doesn't answer theo's question right away as he stares at the scalpel but he eventually finds his voice ]
[ and just as immediately as the clasps closen over theo's arms, the large tv screen in the room lights up. on it is a... mouse with a gas mask? what a very specific and strange detail. ]
"Hey there, you miserable test subjects! I see that you're going along with the surgery, that's great! You know, I worked really hard on that so I'm excited to see it in action! Whew, okay! So, it's really easy. The test subject with the dumb hair just needs to take the scalpel and cut along the lines that he drew on the test subject who willingly agreed to this. Don't worry, it's really easy. I could do this with my eyes closed!"
[ definitely-not-calhoun just tilts his head and lets out a loud whine ]
"Huhhhhhhh? Where on Earth did you get that idea, test subject who willingly agreed to this? Not once did I say anything about you guys leaving this alive! It's not my fault you guys assumed the best in the worst situation ever!"
[ while definitely-not-calhoun goes off on his rambling, naegi moves over to put his hands on the clasps ]
L-Let me get these off you-- ow!
[ and not a second after naegi touched the clasps, a strong shock of electricity runs through them, hurting both naegi and theo ]
"Hey, test subject with the dumb hair! Hands off! Just get to operating already! I don't have all day and I certainly don't get paid enough to put up with waiting!"
[There's a yelp of pain at the electricity as it jolts through his body, and he lays back, trying to keep his breathing under control even as a burning sensation sears his wrists.]
[ naegi immediately pulls his hand back and cradles it with his other, hissing. he shuts one eye as he tries to block out the pain. ]
Don't worry, Theo, I'm not going to do anything.
[ it's insane if he actually tries to perform "surgery" on someone but as soon as he says this, definitely-not-calhoun lets out a loud groan. ]
"Ughhhh, why are you test subjects so boring like this? I knew I should have had silent test subject and destructive test subject start in this room first rather than you two. Bleh. Okay, look! If you guys don't get this show on a roll, I guess you'll just have to stay in there until you starve to death! Which will be a pain for me because then I'd have to keep checking on you to make sure you're dead or not and then I'd have to go in there to clean up after you guys and I'm only one mouse but if that's the route you wanna go then go for it! Maybe a long and antagonizing death is what you deserve for this so boring for me!"
[He grits his teeth against the remaining jitters.]
