Well, if you don't mind doing theatre or playing minor characters, you could probably hold a job like that? Until you make it big.

like i said, that's what i'd want to do in the first place
i don't think film would be half as exciting

Then I think going into acting isn't a bad idea at all. There are a lot of theatre performances and you have more opportunities than film.

That's not what I'm saying at all! I think community college is a great idea and if you want to go for it, then you should. All I'm saying is that a post-secondary education, in general, is good to have and that you still need to study. If you want to go to college instead, you should definitely talk to your parents.

it's still not a super realistic career though
and i'm not confident that i want to do it yet
so i'm still keeping my mind open

i think it's dumb that it's valued so much when it's worthless
but unfortunately we live in stupid times
so i'll have to get a degree of some sort regardless

so they'll have to figure out what they want themselves

i don't think they're really things i'd wanna make a career out of
i have a lot of interests that i like doing part-time
like playing chess for life would be boring, but a good game now and then is fun

i guess that's fair...

I don't even think chess could be a career unless you're one of those big-time players who play for the country or something like that?

or are there chess sponsorships like with olympic athletes and stuff

That's a really good question.

Isn't chess considered a sport now? With teams and everything? So maybe there are scholarships, though that's pretty hard to believe.

google says you can get college scholarships for playing chess
but idk about making a career out of it
it's a mystery!!
